SH26:How to prevent Hepatitis B Virus : some useful techniques

We can save ourself from hepatitis B virus by doing the following -
1.Vaccine-the vaccine contains HBsAg produced in yeasts by recombinant DNA techniques.Now HBV vaccine is being given in EPI schedule as pentavalent vaccine
2.Hepatitis B immunoglobulin (HBIG)
3.Both vaccine and HBIG (post exposure prophylaxis)
4.All blood for transfusion should be screened for HBsAg.
5.No one with a history of hepatitis (of any type) should donate blood.
