These are big questions to ask.
It seems to me that without forming connections with real human beings, relying on buying votes, we become drug addicts. Addicts who are stuck on the tread mill of paying your drug dealer of choice making them even richer and more powerful while giving you the addict as little as possible.

imho, If we focus on building community strength it will be successful for everyone.
