Autumn is in the air and soon to be on the
ground. Some slight hints of color changes,
a dab of yellow and many shades of greens.
Fireweeds are topping out, fungus and berry
hunters appear along the roads.
Sounds of chainsaws, the smell of wood stoves
Shots fired as folks gear up for hunting as
the fishing season ends. Most of the tourists
are headed out of state 🚙 💨
The real color flies around September 23
A few days before and a few less after are
the best for prime color fest! Some years
are better than others, depends on storms
blowing them all away 🍂
These leaves here are a mix from indoor
and outdoor collecting, some are even
older and from other states and countries
I wonder if anyone can name them all?
Backdrop used is the old
rusty trusty wheelbarrow
The spinning cube knows, it is somewhat
like the magic 8 ball, but it's a cube
The framed B&W one looks awesome, I like that one. The cotton grass dried out nice, and shows well in the color one and a hint of purple and yellow. lots of different leaves, A nice menagerie of leaves, like the all just blew in and fell in the wheelbarrow.

Need to find some those devils club leaves
but need some big gloves!
That sure is interesting how you made such a wonderful piece of art. Did you say leaf collection? Inquiring minds want to know what made you decide to collect them. That old wheelbarrow sure has come in handy. : )
The smell of wood stoves? Already? I saw a couple of trees that have a few leaves changing colors and I was shocked. It is too early for that to happen. Please say it isn't so!!!
