Missing Berlin

in #deutsch7 years ago (edited)

I have been living in England for quite some time now, and sometimes I really miss my home, Berlin.
I will be going there in August, after over a year, so I am quite excited to see friends and family again, and also enjoy the nightlife. Music and art paradise, if you ask me. It is rather different to the english culture, is it not?

I am looking forwards to eating fries with cheese dip at Warschauer Straße and the best vegetarian Kebabs ever. Drinking beer in the park and going to open airs in the summer. Throwing confetti & glitter all night and visiting pretty and historical places all day. This year, I plan to go to the old 'Beelitz Heilstätten', an abandoned (and maybe even haunted?) sanatorium. Anybody ever been there? I heard it is rather spooky.

Until then, here a a few experimental pictures from a while ago.

Nice pictures. I've always told friends that if I suddenly became a millionaire, Berlin is the city I'd move to. For a major Western city with awesome infrastructure and safety, it sure has a low cost of living.

Thank you! So true. I totally would buy a flat there, too, if I was a millionaire. I always wondered whether I just prefer Berlin because I grew up there, but like you said, there are just so many great things to count on. Infrastructure is so much better than in London, taking a train there is nearly always a nightmare. I am not sure I could cope with that longterm, not to mention the price of beer :D

great pictures!

Thanks a lot!
I loved your Iceland pictures, too. I have been over there in march and I miss it almost more than Berlin :)

welcome back!

hello hello hello! :)

Nice pictures, which camera did you use?
By the way: The tag #deutsch is meant for posts written (comletely or partly) in german language. If your post is just related to germany, you should use the tag #germany instead. Thanks!

Ha, this makes indeed so much sense, thanks! :D
Just posted an updated german version.

Unfortunately, I do not remember which camera it was, it was a friends. A Canon, I believe. And now a dinosaur amongst the cameras, it wasn't the best back then, either.

Good photography doesn't necessarily need expensive equipment. Thanks for the update. Unfortunately the first tag cannot be changed afterwards...next time ;-)

True :)
Ah, no I meant I wrote a translated german version into the post. So now the tag fits. Yay.

Ah, sehr gut! Habe ich zuerst übersehen. Way to go!
