Der Kompass der Marsmönche
Als Jux wieder zu seinem Heimatplaneten zurückkam, war es früh am Morgen. Zum Glück hatte ihn keiner seiner neugierigen Nachbarn bemerkt.
In den folgenden Wochen wollte sich Jux vorrangig der Herstellung des intergalaktischen Teppichs widmen, aber auch den Kompass der Marsmönche näher kennen lernen.
Aufgrund der anstrengenden Reise und den vielen neuen Informationen sehnte sich Jux nach seinem Bett. So ging er in selbiges. Am Nachmittag wachte er auf und dachte sich, wenn mein Körper meint, er sei ausgeruht, so dürfe er aufstehen und mit den Vorbereitungen für seine intergalaktische Reise beginnen.
Da Jux ein neugieriger Mensch war, entschloss er sich, den intergalaktischen Kompass als erstes zu erkunden. Dazu überlegte er sich verschiedene Tests.
Das erste Szenario war abhängig von den Lichtverhältnissen, Tageslicht, Licht von verschiedenen Seiten, Feuerlicht, künstliches Licht und auch Dunkelheit. Erwartungsgemäß brachte das nur wenig. Die Farben und Kontrast des Kompasses änderten sich geringfügig - mehr nicht. Keine Ahnung, ob dies überhaupt etwas bedeutete.
Anschließend platzierte Jux verschiedene Gegenstände in der Nähe und auf dem Kompass. Hierbei gab es überhaupt keinerlei Veränderungen des intergalaktischen Kompasses.
Nun probierte er, seine Hand auf den Kompass zu legen, seine Augen zu schließen und an an den Kompass zu denken. Ihn überkam nach einigen Atemzügen ein merkwürdiges Gefühl. Er konnte dieses Gefühl nicht beschreiben.
Da es bereits spät am Abend war, beschloss Jux, schlafen zu gehen und am kommenden Morgen an dieser Stelle weiter zu probieren.
Normalerweise träumt Jux nur, wenn er schlecht schläft oder krank wird. In dieser Nacht suchte Jux ein merkwürdiger Traum heim. Am Morgen hatte er die geträumten Erlebnisse bis auf Eines vergessen. Diese eine Erkenntnis probierte Jux gleich nach dem Aufwachen aus.
So ging er zum intergalaktischen Kompass, legte seine Hand auf, schloss die Augen und dachte an den großen Mond. So dann erschien vor seinen geschlossenen Augen der Weg zu diesem Mond. Er öffnete seine Augen und konnte noch zwölf Atemzüge diesen Weg sehen, bevor er vor seinen Augen verschwand.
Er schloss die Augen erneut, dachte wieder an den großen Mond. Es wiederholte sich. Beim nächsten Versuch dachte Jux an den mittleren Mond, der dieser Tage auf der anderen Seiten seines Planeten sichtbar ist. Auch hier zeigte der Kompass Jux den Weg zum mittleren Mond.
Nun versuchte Jux, sich den Heimatplaneten der Marsmönche vorzustellen. Schließlich hatten sie ihn eingeladen hatten.
Jux hatte aber kein Bild des Planeten in seinen Gedanken. So konnte der intergalaktische Kompass ihm keinen Weg zeigen. Dieses Problem begriff Jux schnell.
So dachte er an einen großen roten Stern aus einem entfernten Sternbild - Beteigeuze. Hier zeigte der Kompass der Marsmönche den Weg. Jux war zufrieden und ungeduldig zugleich. Zufrieden, weil er den intergalaktischen Kompass verstand. Er konnte ihn nun nutzen. Ungeduldig, weil er noch nicht losfliegen konnte. Denn der intergalaktische Teppich war nicht fertig. It was early in the morning, when Jux came back to his home planet. Fortunately, none of his curious neighbors had noticed him.
In the following weeks Jux wanted to dedicate himself mainly to the production of the intergalactic carpet, but also to get to know the compass of the Mars Monks.
