Hot water bottle at DHDL: What's new about Troy, Mr. Ohmer?

The makers of Troy - a novel hot water bottle - want to convince an investor in the lions' den. The idea came to Benjamin Ohmer when a friend scalded herself with a broken hot water bottle.

Mr. Ohmer, you and Volker Junior venture into the Cave of the Lions with their invention of "Troy", a safe hot water bottle. How did that go with the product development?

I came up with the idea when a friend of mine burned her stomach with her hot water bottle. She fell asleep on her hot water bottle at that time. To prevent this from happening in the future, I looked for a solution to this problem and found it in the combination of a hand warmer and a classic hot water bottle. That was 2014. With the idea, I sent myself to Volker Junior, who specializes in innovation and product development with his company.

What's new about Troy?
Our hot water bottle keeps warm for two times and is at the right temperature right from the start. This is due to our special pad, which is located in the hot water bottle. If the hot water bottle is filled with hot water, the initially hard pad softens and absorbs heat energy.
