RE: Mein Wort zum Thema - Schule ja? Aber anders? Oder wie oder was?

A wonderful blog. I would like to point to a few visionary educators. Maria Montessori and Rabindranath Tagore both had ideas about how a child should be educated. These two collaborated with each other and created models that have lasted for more than a hundred years. And when Marie Curie had to educate her daughters, she didn't send them to a conventional school at first. She and her colleagues at the Sorbonne arranged for the children to be tutored by professors at the university. They were young children at the time.
I know Tagore and Curie found traditional schools to be suffocating, almost like prisons. I happen to agree with them :) When I was a child, I found school to be tedious and confining.
Anyway, nice article. I'm sorry I don't dare try to write in German.

Thank you for your comment - and I think writing in english is easier for me than german writing for you ;-)

There are some Visionars ofcourse like Montessori, Steiner and Froebel. But that are concepts and they work inside the "system". I don't believe that that will work - my own experiences as a kindergartenteacher shows that. We need ideas outside this system and that is the problem. But I want to encourage people to think in really new ways - think big! We have to invite a new way of growing up our children...

Check out Tagore. He tore the school down and put education outside, in the garden.

That sounds great!!!! I think nature is a wise teacher...
