I am an ice cream lover and I have been looking for ways to make ice cream at home without so much cost and when I saw this particular class and seeing that the ingredients is something that is readily available at home and doesn’t require much money like the other type of ice creams, I was very excited and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Thank you once again @m-fdo for this new experience. Now I can make my ice cream anytime without much hassle. Let’s dive in into the class work.

Make the given recipe in detail with step by step pictures. Include your name tag with the date at the final presentation of the recipe.

I prepared vanilla ice cream. The ingredients I used includesIMG_3759.jpeg
  • Milk
  • Custard
  • sugar

Procedure

Step 1: I took a clean bowl and put the milk into the bowl and added the custard into it and dissolved it very well.IMG_3760.jpeg
Step 2: I added the amount of sugar that I wanted into the mixture and ensured it was well dissolved. I didn’t want the ice cream to be too sugary hence I didn’t put too much sugarIMG_3761.jpeg

Step three: I poured the entire mixture into a clean pan and heated it. I stirred it for a while until it brought out bubbles.

Step four: I poured the mixture into another clean bowl and allowed it to cool down for 15 minutes in the fridge.IMG_3765.jpeg
Step five: After that, I put the mixture into a blender and blended it for about two minutes. It took a while to blend but it came out fine and smooth.IMG_3766.jpeg

Step six: I put it into another clean bowl and allowed to cook for half an hour and then blended it again for 5 minutes until it was creamy.

IMG_3767.jpegIMG_3770.jpeg
Step seven: I put it into a clean plate and cover it with a polythene bag. I ensured to press it down for the polythene to touch the surface of the mixture before putting into the freezer for about eight hours.IMG_3771.jpeg
Step eight: After about eight hours, I brought it out and served it and my ice cream was good to be eatenIMG_3773.jpeg

I allowed it to settle for about fifteen before serving it. I didn’t have ice cream scooper so I couldn’t get the rounded ice cream scooping shape but the ice cream came out really beautiful and I loved the entire experience. Now I have found a better and cheaper option for making my ice cream at home. All thanks to @m-fdo.

What difficulties did you encounter while making this recipe?

The recipe was very easy to make, I didn’t encounter any difficulties except for the fact that the first blending of the custard was a little tedious at the beginning as the teacher mentioned that it would take some time to blend. So the little hiccup was anticipated so I had to patiently wait it out and it came out fine. Every other process was smooth and the end product was beautiful. I love it.

If you were given the opportunity to share this delicious Vanilla ice cream with a Steemit friend, who would you share it with? Explain why you chose that friend.

I would love to share my delicious vanilla ice cream with @tykay019. She is an enthusiastic steemian who is committed to her steemit journey. I have seen her commitment and her passion for growth in the ecosystem despite the challenges which are obviously part of our experience on steemit. She has been determined to keep her head up despite the difficulties she’s facing and her determination is worthy of note.

Sharing my ice cream with her is my way of telling her that she’s is seen and that her efforts will not be wasted. If she continues to push and not give up, with time, her hardwork will definitely begin to pay off. We all encountered the same challenge at one point or the other and so it is for those who refuse to give up. So this is me saying, you are doing a good job girl. Keep it up. One day you would look back and be grateful for all the effort you’ve put in. I am routing for you sis.

Thank you @m-fdo once again for this new class. Now I’ve got a cheap and good recipe for my vanilla ice cream and I love it.
