3D Printed Dremel Rotary Tool 1/8" Shank Bit Storage

in #design8 years ago (edited)

If you have a Dremel tool as many hobbyists, artisans, craftsmen, artists, and others usually do.  You know how difficult it is to organize the various bits that accumulate over time.

Dremel usually provides a case when you purchase a kit, but the cases are bulky and are designed to hold only the bits that came in it and usually not others.  The cases are difficult to stack, take up more space than needed by the pieces they hold, etc.

You would think that suppliers would be scrambling to resolve this with all kinds of storage solutions.  You'll probably find, as I did, that is not the case.  So based on my need and having a couple of 3D printers sitting around I designed this simple solution which holds a lot of the attachments and can be kept in any drawer or workbench.

I actually sold these on Amazon for a while and sold a couple of hundred for about $15 each.  I no longer have the time to devote to making them but if you have access to a 3D printer you can print your own using my plans in the link below:

You'll find this to be a very handy item to add to your tool collection.  If you have any questions please post below and I'll be happy to answer them for you.
