Today, I will briefly tell you what is happening in a beautiful country somewhere in the east, still Europe. Once a powerful and free country, then almost constantly fighting for freedom and World citizenship.
I'm talking about Poland here.

I always thought that people would never agree to a coup. To take away their freedom. Unfortunately, the process of changing into a different political system is always slow and sometimes not noticeable for citizens.
Poisonous spikes flash somewhere between the rays and the colors of everyday life. You hear a gentle murmur of anxiety in conversations with colleagues, you see flashy posts on FB and you think: Noooooo. Exaggeration! We have Democracy! Constitution! European Union! We are already a western block! The opposition will not allow! None of these things.

From what exactly did it start, I do not even remember! But the beginning of changes was called “Good Change”. Even then, people were full of warm hope. A slight excitement and the belief that in the end someone will bring order here ... ... to what? I'm afraid to ask. Homosexuality? Dark-skinned? Old power? Corruption? Unruly Youth? Lawlessness? Nobody knows, the PiS Chairman Kaczynski himself, I think, he does not know. (PiS its polish shortcut of Law and Justice political party)

The first noise appeared when the Constitutional Tribunal was touched by the finger of Evil. Exchanged. Simply. The media larum has risen. So what? People did not go to the street to protest.

We heard that there was a struggle in the Sejm, and that there were night meetings of the party and the closing of the key against the opposition, and secret voting on the top of the dark and glorious ancient forests.

Then the whispers began that the Polish Television is already subordinated to the party: the team has changed! But let's remember that it did not happen in one moment. It happened biblically, slowly and in a snake style.

Suddenly, three months before the beginning of the school year, it turned out that the reform of education has been going on for a long time. Media and opposition did not actually wake up at all! The question arises bold and disgusting. Question: Why?

Sequentially. Judicial reform has appeared. In short, again, subordinate of the supreme court and common courts to the Party. We also learn that perhaps soon the courts will be able to reopen cases from a few-dozen years ago and cancel the judgments.

I felt the heavens growl in the distance. And here something in the nation has shaken. In one week of July, we met every day on the Square at 21. The protests took place numerous and throughout the country. You may have heard about them. First, modest in number and a little bit laughing like. But with each successive meeting, the faces would be serious. The situation was becoming unpleasant. Another night's debate and a struggle in the government. There were a few hundred people in the first days? A few thousands? Maybe. But I know that it ended on 15,000 only of Poznań residents. The protests showed the faces of young and energetic people, ordinary families and people who not only remember the times of socialism in Poland. For me these were pathetic moments, dripping with the spirit of idealism.
President Duda vetoed 2 out of 3 acts. At that time, he became the hero of Polish people for a moment. He objected to the Chairman and the Party. He announced that he would submit his proposals for reasonable acts.

My soul came to life, she struggled to sing a hymn and chant “veto, veto, veto!”. All week I felt inspired, excitement, such a feeling about 0.5-1 hours after swallowing a white round rabbit. I was a patriot. I was contemplating the possibility of thwarting by a single, completely lonely, frustrated individual the actions of the authorities…

Today, after a few months after these events, we come back to the subject. It turns out that the proposals of the puppet President are basically a copy of previous projects, differing in what differs pepsi from coca cola ...
Non governmental organizations are also to remain enslaved by the National Institute of Freedom.
At the same time, changes in the Electoral Code, changes allowing for voice manipulation are proposed.

I am an ordinary citizen of the European Union, I live in the western part of Poland and I lead a completely normal life. Just like You, I suppose. I want to be free and secure. Now, however, I feel a threat, I hear a scream of waking from a lethargy beast, king of intolerance, xenophobia, oppression and surveillance. For several months I have been living with a fear of democracy. I do not want a state that only has formal facades of democracy. Currently, the majority government of the conservative "right-wing" PiS party is doing wonders on the stick. How is it called?
A one-party dictatorship.

Suddenly, it turns out that the country in which I live, the European country, in the blink of an eye may become a state of dictatorship. It was like that quite recently.
That is why I would like to call for all the young, consumed by the consumerist life of a global society, to rebel and dissent. To go out onto the street and show that you want to live in an open and safe country. In the country, incentives, not coercion and terror.
