Top Reasons I Switched From Bitcoin To DeepOnion
It is inevitable, since it’s a cheaper, faster, safer, decentralized and deflationary alternative to fiat currencies like euros and dollars. It’s what e-mail was to physical mail. Everything in life eventually will always choose the path of least resistance, or of most efficiency. Therefore crypto-currencies will become the standard.
I would say that cryptocurrency or more accurately public block-chains will be a paradigm shifting technology that will change the concept of commerce and redefine payment mechanisms, I will not go so far as to say that fiat currency or tokens or whatever, do not have their place as well.
It is an incredibly complex and nuanced question and the world is diverse and vast. The only thing I can say with certainty is that people tend to overestimate the change that is possible in 5 years and underestimate the change that will take place over 50 years. That is human nature.
I will also say that no matter how hard governments push back, public block-chain is here to stay. You CANNOT close Pandora’s box after it is open. But look inside, see there at the bottom? Yes, that is hope left inside. It is the hope that overall we are moving towards a better world!
Here are 5 reasons I switched my Bitcoins to DeepOnion a month ago:
1. DeepOnion is 100% anonymous and untraceable.
All transactions sent through DeepOnion will remain untraceable from government agencies and hackers. All payments are sent through the TOR Network which hides your complete identity and IP address. Bitcoin on the other hand has no privacy features. Achieving reasonable anonymity with Bitcoin can be quite complicated and perfect anonymity may be impossible.
Bitcoin is pseudonymous. Sending and receiving bitcoins is like writing under a pseudonym. If an author’s pseudonym is ever linked to their identity, everything they ever wrote under that pseudonym will now be linked to them. In Bitcoin, your pseudonym is the address to which you receive Bitcoin. Every transaction involving that address is stored forever in the blockchain. If your address is ever linked to your identity, every transaction will be linked to you.
In the original Satoshi whitepaper, it was recommended that Bitcoin users use a new address for each transaction to avoid the transactions being linked to a common owner. This would be the equivalent of writing many books under different pseudonyms. Although this remains a best practice, it is not enough to guarantee full anonymity due to multi-input transactions. In the other hand, DeepOnion is completely untraceable and your anonymity is guaranteed.
2. DeepOnion is much faster than Bitcoin.
Bitcoin transactions are ridiculously slow right now. Last night my transaction took nearly an hour to be confirmed. This does not work well with my personality because I’m very high strung, especially when my money is concerned. So, basically, the entire time I was waiting for the transaction to go through, I was obsessing about it and couldn’t focus my mind on anything else. I also sent 4 DeepOnion transactions, and they were confirmed in a matter of seconds.
3. DeepOnion has much lower fees than Bitcoin.
The entire reason a lot of us are in the digital currency space is because of the low fees. Bitcoin’s fees have recently skyrocketed and it’s completely ridiculous. A few weeks ago I sent $10 worth of Bitcoin, and the fee was $3. This is insane. Six months ago, this was not the case, but because Bitcoin has been gaining tremendous popularity in recent months, and has still not arrived at a scaling solution, the fees have become completely out of control. Because of these high fees, I avoid using Bitcoin as much as possible. With DeepOnion I am only charged a fee of 0.001 Which is less than a penny.
4. DeepOnion has a functioning community.
The dev team at DeepOnion is hard at work making sure DeepOnion becomes a success. They are fixing to impliment 2 new upcoming features called DeepSend and DeepTrust which will put us ahead of the competition. The community is also hard at work making a new website design, iPhone and android wallets, wallet makeover, eCommerce plugins to accept onion payment methods and MUCH more. As a new coin on the market barely a few weeks old this coin has lots of potential.
5. Anonymous chooses DeepOnion as the best anonymous Cryptocurrency.
This is obviously a joke, If anonymous were to put a video like this out, DeepOnion would turn to the next Bitcoin in a matter of days, if not hours. It's just a video I made for the DeepOnion community for entertainment purposes.
You can watch the video here:
It is evident that DeepOnion features supersede that of bitcoin and other altcoins. Security, speedy transactions and online anonymity is what any crypto-investor would love to have in order to enhance safety of digital funds; these are the benefits available to early adopters of DeepOnion and indeed every user. Operating DeepOnion also helps to increase the nodes on the TOR network, further creating an avenue for several online users all over the world to have anonymity. DeepOnion has a strong growing community of users who are active on the forum where real support is provided. Users also have the opportunity to air their views on issues relating to the future of the coin. In addition, there are giveaways which are strictly for members.
DeepOnion is an interesting development. I am sure this project will go far.
DeepOnion is not blockchain. It is just a payment gateway over TOR.

Great article, and I love the anonymous video. I just bought a bunch of onions on the nova exchange and it worked pretty well. I think there is some reluctance for folks that only use Bittrex to do anything. The bar is set pretty high as I wasn't on bitcoin talk until yesterday so can't participate in the airdrop, but the onion lottery is a cool idea, and I'd like to see other opportunities to earn bounties. I'm excited for when DeepSend is released, and the Q4 marketing ramps up. I upvoted and got you to $.07 ;)
