I've also come to figure out which thrifts to donate which stuff to. VHS tapes aren't a good thing to donate to some thrifts, etc. Our craigslist free section is very active, however, and people will come pick up just about anything if it's free. I'm getting ready to give away a bunch of hangers that way. I find that's a bad thing to give to a thrift store.
