I'm glad to see the place is ad-free. The thing is though, I not only blog here, but I promote my talents as well. At times I publish a quick advertisement. This is business for some of us.

I'm most proud of how easy it is to get a potentially thriving personal business up and running using Steemit as the main platform to achieve this. For many like me, we've a better chance making money hustling art on street corners than we would if we had to take out loans and attempt to establish ourselves in the mainstream economy.

This place also gives the ability to advertise the way I want to. Nobody likes pop ups and spam and adbots and all this other garbage. Those depend on a quantity over quality principle.

Many of us here get a chance to reinvent certain aspects of advertising. I'm trying something new.
