I haven't developed anything using SteemConnect but can't you just ask for posting key instead of active or owner? This app doesn't need more permissions than that.
You would have to know how SteemConnect v2 works.
You use the active/owner key to split your posting auth. Then the decentmemes.app can post without your key. If you wish to prevent it from having that ability you can use SteemConnect to revoke the split posting authority.
DecentMemes never gets any access to any keys.
