Well, as of now I don't think its visible. Fossil fuel are natural gotten while renewable fuel are a product of natural processes. Statistics shows that more than 86% global energy comes from burning fossil fuel while just 6 -7% renewable energy. That gap is too wide for renewable fuel to meet up anytime soon. However, nothing is impossible. Maybe in many years to come when the greenhouse effect from burning fossil fuel affects us and change our sense of reasoning.

I think this might be an argument 'pro' to the statement about renewable energy being an alternative to fossil fuels?
