RE: The curse of the petshop & a dead privilege

in #death6 years ago

My son had an experience when we were at the animal shelter during a free adoption day. You have to be careful when shelters are over crowded and they are waving adoption fees. Usually when this happens they have multiple cats sharing a litter box and that allows for the transfer of disease's from one cat to another. Six months later and a six hundred dollar vet bill the cat was dead. Now I understand why the city animal shelter uses separate cages with litter boxes, the private shelter just had multiple cats in large caged area's sharing litter boxes. It sucks when kids lose their pets, especially if they haven't dealt with any type of death before.

Sounds terrible, and agreed, it sucks. Not had the bill yet, possibly tomorrow.
