Sirajganj: Five people were killed in Sirajganj's Kamipur, Kamarkand and Shahjadpur. Family members and locals of the deceased said, on Sunday (April 29th) in Kakipur upazila, on Saturday (April 29th), Shamsul Huq and his son Arfan (14) went to work in the nut field. Shamsul Mondol (55) and his son Arman (14) of Degree Tekani village of Kajipur district died on the spot at around 9:30 am.
Meanwhile, a farmer named Abdul Kader (37) was killed in the wee hours on Kamarakhand around 10:30 pm while cutting rice.
On the other hand, Nabil (17) and Palin (15) of six villages of Shahjadpur upazila were killed in the wee hours on Tuesday. Four more were wounded. The hospital's medical officer said that they were admitted to Shahjadpur Sadar Hospital. Rajibul Islam Siddiqui confirmed.
Magura: Three people were killed in a lightning strike at Bogatati village of Akkur Para, Raigram and Shalikha upazila of Magura Sadar upazila on Sunday noon.
Sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station Ashraf Hossain said that the person named after Shamim Hossain (40) was killed in a road accident at Akkur Para in Sadar upazila. He is the van driver in the profession. During the thunderstorm, he was moving towards Magura to Sreepur by carrying van. On the way, in the Kamarbari area, he was subjected to thunderstorms. Alam Mia (35), the other person who was killed in the thunderbolt of Sadar Road, He is a resident of Bulu village of Sadar upazila. While returning home from Magura city, he was shocked.
On the other hand, a young man named Mehdi Hossain (25) was hit by lightning while working in a mobile tower in Bunagati area of Shalikhara upazila. He is resident of Manpura area of Joypurhat district. Later, he was brought to Magura Sadar Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Brahmanbaria: A laborer named Abdur Rahim (50) was killed in a drive in the gardenbari area of the Dewin village of Mogra union under Akhaura upazila of Brahmanbaria. The incident took place around 8am on Sunday. Two more workers were injured in this incident. One of them is named. Belal Hossain The identity of the other could not be known.
Police have confirmed the casualties in Jamrul area of Srimangal upazila of Moulvibazar district.

Naogaon: Sonawan (22), a woman named after a thunderbolt in Naogaon's Sapahar upazila, died. He is the wife of Rubel Hossain of Ramashram village of the upazila. This incident occurred on Sunday (April 29th) at 2pm.
Sapahar Thana Officer-in-Charge OC Shamsul Alam Shah confirmed the matter and said, "Sonawan was cooking in the house at noon. At this time, he died due to thunderstorm. Besides, three other people including his husband were injured in the house at that time. Later, the locals rescued the injured and took them to the upazila health complex of Sapahar upazila.
Noakhali: Iqbal Hasnat Pial (13) of 7th grade student of Dinabha-I branch of Noakhali Zila School died in lightning in Laxminarayanpur village of Noakhali Municipality. The father and mother of the deceased were admitted to the hospital due to heart attack. The incident occurred at around 11:30 am at a playground near the Bashirara shop in Noakhali Municipality Ward No. 3.
