Taking things to the grave.

One aspect of growing old is accepting the death of many things, sometimes complete death, and the only remaining evidence of those things ever existing, is in you

And almost all other people wouldn't care to learn it, because you understand its very subjective and peculiar or valuable to you

I've spoken with many older folks who carry things like that, them living their lives thinking those things will die with them because they're not interesting to the rest of the world... but in fact those things are actually extremely interesting, and anyone with the slightest curiosity would want to take the responsibility to carry them forward.

We lose sight on what is significant because we lose context with how the world is changing. You can't keep up with everything, nobody can, and once you get some decades in your pocket, it gets harder to determine precisely.
