Information is tagged secret when it is kept or hidden from the view of others by the information maker or authors.

Secret information is something attempted to be stolen from where it is kept hidden by the source wanting information to be guarded.

Information gets confidential when its creator or authors share a view of it to others named confidant.

Confidentiality is breached because it is something shared to others who agree the non disclosure.

In confidentiality the data communication is monitored for acted priveledges. In secrecy the data store is protected as hidden with secured entry.

Information security is simply controls on how information is exhanged, and how information is stored. Data Privacy Officer is simply about capability and capacity to understand and implement protection and safety controls in management of data.

Real Data Privacy Officer is definite about the construct of the agency data assets, and the information processing, storing and sharing that come with data value creation and exploitation. His is not general of what, how, when, who and where of data protection, but represents the specification of controls objectives and associated methods to identify, monitor, plan, act and improve risks, events, problem, and change.
