Yelp review of Naconon Fresh Start

All of these Narconon locations are equally bad. I went to two of them, including the one Caliente, NV.

Most of the reviews you read on Yelp are created by Scientologists. Believe me this place is not helping anyone. It didn't help me. It didn't help my parents. My relationship with them has been destroyed.

Narconon Arrowhead is owned by Scientology. This is not an actual accredited rehab center. They simply teach Scientology. Dan Carmichael was able prey on my mom's fear and convince her do everything that was the exact opposite of what I needed and wanted. He lied to her and said this treatment center is only 1 percent Scientology. He scared her to death by making her believe her choice was to trick me into treatment or deal with my death, which was rapidly approaching.

If you read any book by L Ron Hubbard, you will realize this treatment is the exact same as what you would learn in Scientology.

Both Scientology and Narconon require people to spend a dangerous amount of time in the sauna and do bizarre communication drills. Your child will be required to stare at another person without moving or speaking for hours. They will read from Alice in Wonderland. Nothing they do will help your child. Nobody there has any medical training. It is a scam that destroys families.

You can find the coursebooks published online if you Google:

I promise it will be the most bizarre thing you have ever read.

The place also teaches your child to badger other people, lie, and be manipulative.

They will tell the parent your child lies and is manipulative because of drugs. They will tell the child, your parents are done with you. They have had enough of you because of drugs.

Then, after 6 months, they will tell you that your child is doing great and they want him or her to work as an intern, then get you to sign a lease that is contingent on them passing a drug test. When most "students" become "teachers" they are not paid, btw. They then will kick your child out for failing a drug test. (They tell new "students" to bring in their medications to treatment btw). It is easy to get drugs there. Many people end up getting their first shot of heroin at Narconon Fresh Start.

Then after paying $35,000 for the treatment, you are locked into a lease for several months. With your child kicked out of the program, you are still required to pay the lease where your child can no longer live. Narconon Fresh Start makes their money by renting out the same crappy apartments, in the middle of nowhere, to multiple heart-broken financially ruined parents at the same time!
