The daily Bread 0026: Bible fluency. (first part)
Biblical fluency is a form of biblical interpretation, which helps us eliminate supposed contradictions, clarify misconceptions, and a way of answering certain biblical questions that are not directly answered by the word, but which guides us to a response which is comfortable with Rest of the scriptures.
Many people believe they need Bible Doctors, or at least go to institutes to understand the word of God, and we will do this if necessary. Never study the Bible, but every Christian has an obligation to study and scrutinize the scriptures in a personal way, and in his own time, alone, if this does not happen, we will be "painted" in the way that the teacher in The institute wants The Word of God is simple enough so that each person can understand it and so deep that you never stop studying it. The Bible tells us Acts 17:11 And these were nobler than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with all diligence, scrutinizing the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. If we receive the word, but we do not know it, we can not go to see if it is true because it has already been "interpreted" for us so that we will now see the rest of the scriptures in the light of what they have wrongly taught us. Bible fluency gives us the advantage of understanding the Bible for ourselves as the Bible itself is fluently interpreted so that we base our judgment on that which is in accordance with the scriptures.
The Bible shows us that the revelation of the word by the spirit itself, that is, in personal and personal study, is more appropriate than that of a teacher. Now we can not rule out the blessing of growth through a teacher since the same bible tells us Ephesians 4:11 And he himself constituted some, apostles; To others, prophets; To others, evangelists; To others, pastors and teachers, Ephesians 4:12 in order to perfect the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, this indicates to me that the teachers were explicitly set for that, to help us grow in the Word, yet which master is 100% correct? And how do we know if it is not false if we do not know the word? This indicates that, although the teacher is put to instruct, the proper study of the word is indispensable.
The bible lets us understand that direct revelation of the word is more effective the bible says Matthew 16:15 He said to them: And you, who do you say that I am? Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. Matthew 16:17 And Jesus said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon son of Jonah, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto me, but my Father which is in heaven. Notice that Jesus called him blessed Peter because no teacher taught him that he was the Messiah, but scrutinizing in the scriptures the Spirit showed him that Jesus was the anointed of God. Not only this, but Paul says Galatians 1:11 But I tell you, brethren, that the gospel preached by me is not according to man; Galatians 1:12 For I neither received nor learned it from any man, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:15 But when he pleased God, who separated me from the womb of my mother, and called me by his grace, 16 to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult immediately with flesh And blood, ie Paul did not go to the apostles to learn, but was personally direct to the source.
Ps: This method of study came to me because of certain questions I heard and tried to develop a method that would help each person in their own time to study and find biblical answers, I hope it will be of help to you. I will tell you what I have written in parts. Any comments or questions are more than welcome. Thank you
