Gangnam Style Part 3 - FoodPorn
If you guys didn’t read my last 2 post (Ahhh an invisible arrow just hit me, Ahhh the pain hahaha), some friends and I had a wild girls night out last Thursday.
In a life and death situation, I was forced at gunpoint (too much movies hahah) to pick somewhere awesome to eat, i picked one out of the many Korean restaurants on that street, “Mukurang” in Northbridge that specializes in pork.
Before I go on and talk about the best dish served that night, you can check out my last 2 post (ifffff you want).

Okay last, but not least the last dish is “Jokbal” (Pork hock).
Are you guys sensing what sort of meat I like by now hahah.
Something you probably didn’t know about this store is that “Mukurang” is the first Jokbal(Pork hock) restaurant in Australia.
I was actually quite surprise to see this on the menu, as I’m sure the term “hock” would scare off the Aussies. It’s not something you usually see and definitely out of the norm. But I’m glad to see them serving this sort of food, it really does bring something different to the table.
Jokbal is advertised as “a dish usually shared by several people. It is generally served in large portions, and as it is greasy and has a unique flavor, Korean diners often eat it as ssam (lettuce) with sauces and pieces of chili, garlic and fermented shrimp”.
This dish …………………………………………………………………………….
I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT ,I LOVE IT OHHH YEAH HAHAHAH
When the “Jokbal” is eaten together with the vegetables and kimchi, it really does cut down the on greasiness.
So fear not all and eat it hahah.
I don’t care if its fatty, I’m definitely coming back for more.
Im kinda feel like it, as a collagen booster ^^.
The version we order was just the standard but I really want to try the spicy version, “buljokbal”, which literally means “fire jokbal”.
I really have to say that i enjoyed this experience. Would totally recommended this place to other friends, 10 out of 10 points .
Source: 100% taken by me, planning my next trip there already, “Fireball here I come” ^^.
