Indeed, there are different kinds of bots. I have nothing against the ones that gather information for their owners who then go out and curate manually... or at least semi-manually. And, of course, things like cheetah, steemcleaners, spaminator and so forth serve their purpose.

If you are "SP rich" but time poor, I can also see someone delegating SP to a real person who's an active curator... along the lines of @stellabelle's recent proposal. Anything else, though? I just want to remind everyone that this is a SOCIAL site, not a cash dispenser! Maybe that sounds a bit rough and blunt... but that seems pretty much to be what it boils down to.
