I think he is entitled to his anger. Seems his primary goal and one of his major talking points is engagement. And I give him a lot of credit getting peoples attention and making his intentions clear. It's been pointed out before that there are so many creators creating and really not that many people that are consuming and engaging in the content that is created. A primary unit to measure value of content is with the engagement. I understand that it's a hard balance being a full time creator and being fully engaged with other creators. I feel like I'm failing in my engagement and I know that I need to step it up. His video only confirms what I already feel about myself. Good topic to discuss.
absolutely great topic to discuss, ya wanna get into a live video about it too, I think that's the best way to really sound the issues out -- because what is the 'content' and the 'quality' to different people right? sometimes for me personally it's about stepping through and making like with an artist and a canvas compelled to paint ya know?
also when we talk about a full time creator as a vlogger what is that? the words 'content' and 'value' get thrown around so much it's hard to really understand what people are really trying to say.
I guess engagement needs to be defined for this platform. I think video responses and comments are a great form of engagement. This also makes me think of the topic of video stats like views and minutes watched. I think those would be helpful tools to measure the value of content. But also like you stated it is subjective. I've always been a numbers guy but that might also take away an essence. I would love to join a discussion on this subject but I don't really know what else I could offer other than what I have already said in these comments.

No problem. I do hope that you get to talk to @nathanmars because I would love to hear what he has to say when asked some of these questions.
yeah, me too. I think he's done so much for people I wanna help discuss it face to face, even if that's a live stream ya know? unpack that a bit because it's different for everyone like you said with the stats etc.
