The Chinese also face this at home, especially when it comes to dairy products.
The marketing term "imported" has been etched in everyone's brain as meaning "superior" which is hardly the case. All it means is that someone paid a lot of money to ship it from a foreign country, which is why it is more expensive....
Of course, this mentality is killing our products in the local market.
