RE: Newcomers Curators Team Application "Steem Boost"
@adeljose @dove11 @ashkhan @alexanderpeace @ripon0630
Thank you for your application.
Is there anything you have learnt from the first month as the Community Curator for Newcomers that you will change and improve for a second month?
Personally, I'd like to expand the scope of support to users who have been members for at least 5 months. This will give us greater flexibility when selecting users.
User interaction is necessary, and if we expand the scope, there will be more competition, so they will be forced to work harder to get a Booming vote, and a good percentage.
Regarding the authenticity of the users, we are still working on it. At first, it is often difficult to detect a farming or fake account; however, we carefully review the content.

I'm open to any suggestions.

I would like to add another account in this list @ samuelbrilliant who was flagged for use of AI.
May I suggest other Steem curators avoid voting for them, as it could duplicate the selection process! Also, I suggest a verification system by appointing an official greeters' team that gives them a tag on their user ID to minimize the possibilities of gaming the system.
As far as learning is concerned, I have been visiting this community from the beginning (almost three years) and learning something every day. Thank you!
I’d really support the idea to expand the curation support beyond three months as that would have to make for more flexibility like adeljose said. We have been educating the newbies during curation with tips on how to make better quality posts and also the need to to engage with others better as most of them fall short of these and some of them have been taking notes of these through their comments and adjusting accordingly. We could come up with a more authentic model for new comers guidance for unified experience.
Yes, I would say that other community curators should avoid upvoting newcomers' posts, especially introduction posts. Secondly, I was looking for the new user verification, but no one verified them. We upvote them based on AI and plagiarism-free content, but that's not enough. I think a verified label is necessary. I hope you will consider this and hire a greeters team that will verify them or if present previously start their verification.
