Introduction
What do you know about dirhams?
_DSC0434.JPG

Dirham or dirhem or "Dirhm" (درهم) is a unit of currency in some Arab countries and Islam in the past, as well as Tajikistan, and was formerly associated with the Ottoman dram unit of the Ottoman Empire and Persia. This name is derived from the Greek currency, drachma, or didrachm source:https://id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirham

There is interesting writing I think that needs to be read about dirhams. This paper discusses Persian dirhams from pre-Islamic and post-Islamic drafts. Here I include the link: http://www.iranicaonline.org/articles/dirham

More than that I include some references about Dirham as one currency.

Well, I do not talk long about it. In the article "Numismatic Aceh Part 1", I will tell you about the Dirham as the golden currency of the Islamic kingdom in Aceh.
In the writings of Dirham (1), I attached a picture of dirham belonging to one of the great sultans in the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam in the 16th century. He is Sultan 'Alauddin Inayat Syah ibn Sultan 'Ali Mughayat Shah or Sultan Alauddin Ri'ayat Shah al-Qahar W. 979 Hijriyah /1571 Masehi.

Gold coins called Dirhams are very important. In addition to the gold material, also the art of forging and calligraphy patterns, there is information on both sides of the coin. The information can be seen on each side. The front of this dirham contains information about the Sultan who ruled and issued this gold coin. While the back side, there are degrees of the sultans.

Readings on both sides of Dirham coins.

Front Side : علوالدين بن علي ملك الظاهر
Back Side : السلطان العادل

Sultan 'Alauddin bin Ali is the Son of the founder of the Kingdom of Aceh Darusalam and successor of Sultan Shalahuddin bin Ali Mughayat Shah W. 955 H.
While "Sultan al-Adil" is the title of Sultan of Aceh which means fair in reign in the 16th century inherited from the Kingdom of Sumatra or Samudra Pasai from the 13th century to the early 16th century.
