Nomination of 16 people has been published for the independence award 2018

The government has called 16 eminent personalities for accomplished accompaniment accolade 'Swadhinata Padak- 2018' (Independence Award) in acceptance of their outstanding contributions to their corresponding fields, according to UNB.

The recipients are backward Kazi Zakir Hasan, martyred bookish SMA Rashidul Hasan, backward Shankar Gobinda Chowdhury, Bir Uttam Sultan Mahmud, backward M Abdur Rahim, backward Bhupati Bhushan Chowdhury alias Manik Chowdhury, Shaheed M Anwarul Azim, backward Humayun Rashid Chowdhury, Shaheed Amanullah Mohammad Asaduzzaman, Shaheed Matiur Rahman Mallik, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque and Amzadul Haque (Independence and Liberation War), AK MD Ahsan Ali (Medical Science), Prof AK Azad Khan (Social Service), Selina Hossain (Literature) and Md Abdul Mazid (Food Security).

Prime abbot Sheikh Hasina will duke over the awards to them at an action in Dhaka before the Independence Day.
