MonaCoin is the first Japanese cryptocurrency, and it has a strong position in the nation of Japan. It has been called a pump and dump coin by someone, but it is a real-use coin, and it has a potential. When the bullrun we all wait for will start (or maybe it has just started?), one can easily expect the value of one MonaCoin to go from appx. 2 USD to 10 USD quite quickly. And, if you sign up for the MonaCoin airdrop, you will be entitled to 50 tokens. So, by default, you will earn more than 100 USD by signing up for the MonaCoin airdrop, but if you decide to keep your coins instead of selling them, it is very likely that the value of this gift will increase quite a lot over time.
Do you need a MonaCoin wallet to take part in the airdrop? At the moment, I do not know. To sign up you need to follow MonaCoin on Twitter, Instagram, Telegram and YouTube (that is easy). You will then be finished with the signup process, and once 25,000 people have signed up for the airdrop the process will end, and you will be able to withdraw your 50 tokens. If you can withdraw them to exchanges like Bittrex and sell them there directly, or if you have to create a dedicated Mona wallet is something I do not know yet, but that shouldn't cause any trouble no matter what, so who cares.
