It can be confusing and scary to say the least to get in on crowdfunding an ICO but I spoke about this one in an earlier post and wanted to share again now that it is so close. There are just under 8 hours left at the time of this post then we can buy BAT tokens. I hope I can alleviate some of the burden with my thoughts and a how to buy guide.
Why I think this is a good investment
- The creators are amazing people with solid backgrounds.

- The platform is advertising and companies spend ungodly amounts of money to advertise.
- People will be able to earn a % of $ through those advertisers allowing their content. Imagine browsers that pay you when you surf. It's a game changer.
How to buy Guide step one: MyEtherWallet.com
- Go to https://www.myetherwallet.com
- Set password (don't lose or forget it and make it strong)
- Proceed through prompts (print a paper wallet or save the hash its important if you ever forget your password)
- Save the JSON file somewhere on your computer (make a backup on a jump drive, online storage, cd etc.)
- Click send Ether and Tokens
- Select Keystore file and open the JSON file you saved
- Enter the password for your wallet and fund ETH to your new wallet address (if you don't have ETH use something like shapeshift and send it to your new wallet address)

When the ticker stops we should be able to buy but we will need to do a couple things.
- Confirm ETH Block is at or past block 3,798,640 (do that here https://etherscan.io/blocks)
- Access your ETH wallet again.
- Send to this address: 0x0D8775F648430679A709E98d2b0Cb6250d2887EF (PLEASE CONFIRM THIS ON THE BAT WEBSITE)
- Add the ETH amount you want to send
- You need to click advanced and add this in the Data field: 0xb4427263 (AGAIN CONFIRM ON WEBSITE)
- Set gas to MIN 200,000 (this is also required to ensure transaction is processed)
How to access BAT Token
- Open your ETH wallet again
- Click add custom token
- In address add the smart contract address (provided on website)
- Token Symbol: BAT
- Decimals: 18
That is all there is to it done and done! I urge you to make your own call and do your research. MHO though this is a winner! Happy investing!
I'm hodling my eth, I'll be picking some up after they get it on exchanges...
and I missed out that was too fast...Had my transaction in but sold out by the time it was in >_<
