The strategy and the tactics
While it is a challenge of being first one to accumulate x10 profits, I don't consider it a small feat altogether. If it was too easy, everyone would do that, and market wouldn't really exist. So for the time being I want to focus on at least getting x10 profits in one month.
Crypto market is volatile, and a lot of people tend to just buy whatever they can get cheap and believe in and wait till it's price explodes x5-x50 times one day, as far as I can see. Using this approach could possibly lead me to my x10 in just one buy and one sell. However I find chances of it quite low, especially considering I don't have a good overview of the playing field, and reading about all the various projects around alone could take a month or more. So that won't work for the challenge.
However, crypto market is volatile yet again, and while said x5-x50 spikes exist, the spikes for 10% are everyday life, and spikes for 2% happen all the time.
Assuming I will be able to maintain the same performance every day, I would need to multiply it by 1.0797751623277096... a day, or roughly 8%. That sounds good already. Capture 4x2% spikes a day or 8x1% spikes and it's done.
But, one can't win all his bets, and striking 4*30=120 2% bets in a row is close to impossible. Just tossing the coin is supposed to win me around 50% of my bets. Ideal knowledge of market would give 100%. I don't know what is considered good winning bet percentage, so for the purpose of this calculation I will just use 75% winning bets as a target. And, that multiplies the number of bets I have to do a day by 2. So, not wanting to lose everything in the first days, and hoping to maintain 8% a day, my first target is having 16 bets a day, 12 of them getting 1%, and 4 of them losing 1%.
By the end of the first day I was only at +2%, so 18 hours behind the schedule. Will have to make up for it.
Furthermore, we measure our success in BTC, but considering how volatile it is currently and me not planing to trade BTC/USD pair, but mostly tokens and altcoins pairs, I plan to add USD progress as a reference. For the record at the moment I started BTC/USD was almost exactly 10000.
That's it for the strategy. As for the tactics - I totally lack them moment, and have to invent something fast.
