Crypto carnage!

Steem is no longer decentralised and may steal your funds. Use Hive instead.

Sort:

The paper traders had taken over the crypo investment market. You can tell that because everyone is/was valuing their investment in dollars. Bitcoin / Bitcoin Cash / DASH etc were designed to replace FIAT currency; not accumulate more of it. Lets flush out these paper traders and get back to changing the world.

I agree. We need to reduce the random speculation.

BTW You only get a small vote as you self voted

Agreed, who cares about fiat value, Im holding until I can spend it in the shops

How do you do that, flushing out these paper traders?

maybe a collective effort by the 'system' maybe the matrix needs to reboot again for it to course correct. i'm heading out for fresh air instead! :)

That's a very good idea. I'm off to a beer festival shortly

Thanks for sharing your views @steevc - firstly, I will message you on Discord today, I had to work late yesterday so I forgot!

Keeping your cool in situations like this is essential. Those who really believe in the market's potential will hold it out, but I always cash out a small amount when ATHs are reached, just in case - I like to have contingency strategies!

I think Steemit has a great future - i did a post where I analysed its rate of growth and correlated this with Metcalfe's law, in order to show the potential of the platform, and it is crazy how well we could all do, if everything goes well. Thanks again for sharing.

What the Indian govt. actually said in the yearly budget yesterday was 'Bitcoin is not a legal tender'. But media reported it as saying India plans to ban Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Actually Indian Finance Minister, said 'we need to take a look at the technology underlying the crypto'. They are definitely not going to ban it.

Usual misreporting of what happened. The media loves a crypto story

Must have got your news from FOX lol

I wouldn't stoop so low. Other media don't like crypto much as they have friends in finance. It's a threat to the old order

Luckily I called the top at $19k

Next stop down in the BTC elevator to the basement $5k

One of my first steemit articles on STEEMIT.

I love STEEM it's the only coin I'm telling investors to get in now. All are expecting a hit and most will double down every 50% dip in Steem as Bitcoin melts away.

Steem will 10x on the crypto 2.0 rebuild.

Welcome to crypto the greatest ride in the game.

Many of these currencies are still a mystery to me and they mainly seem like you are really gambling when investing in some of them. At least STEEM is a tangible currency to me since there are many things you can do to improve your ROI unlike many of the other currencies. One of the best things to do with STEEM is to post great content and find great content to curate and of course there is the delegation option to great projects on the Blockchain. There's not much else to do with most of the other currencies other than hope you bought low enough and hope you sell at the top. To me that's gambling and kinda boring. I like being able to use my STEEM/STEEM Power to grow in many ways as opposed to being at the Mercy of the markets. Best of all earning STEEM is FREE so the ROI on ZERO invested is infinite whereas you can experience "REAL" losses when BUYING the other currencies. As far as I'm concerned, it's all GRAVY on STEEMIT !

I used today as an opportunity to buy some cryptos on sale @steevc. We'll see in a few years if I'm clever/lucky or not!

Good for you. I hope it works out for you

I had the same reaction this morning. I had no idea why, but maybe people are overreacting. I still keep my faith in crypto :)

Certainly an interesting market situation. I wonder if it would be a good time to buy now, of if I'd rather wait a few days or weeks.

That's the question on my mind also, I think I'm gonna wait for a trend reversal.

Depends on what you want from it. It's always a gamble

first: by your pic I must ask if you were on tsu back in the day ^__^~

second:
Right now a lot of the outcome of the digital market is going to depend on people getting actively involved to say "we have the right to choose what ever currencies we wish to use."

Because its become so popular there are those who want to see it crash.
If people hold on and don't sell then there's nothing to fear, they are trying to shake the boat.

I was on Tsu, as was @skyleap who drew it for me.

I think a lot of the public still don't understand what crypto is for. They just see the prices going up and want to make something. I think they can do far more than that

Yay!!! Tsu fam is still here ^__^~♡ Makes me so happy.

As for Crypto ~Its full potential illudes many. We love watching what those who want it to "go away" will try to influence it to collapse.

In the meantime the people can allow a system of healing where the people of the world all have an equal chance at creating good happy lives and escaping financial enslavement by those who designed the original system to do just that.

~☆~

Please continue doing all your awesome work and very happy to meet you again.

Have a wonderful weekend!
