Cryto lessons of 2018

When Jan 2018 came I thought these were my assumptions

• 2018 is continuation of 2017
  At the start of 2018 , I thought crytos will keep on rising. I had hope for at least 10x gain for the coins I held
  

At the end of 2018, my coins are 10% the USD value of my holdings I started in 2018

• Bitcoin forks are children on Bitcoin
  At the start of 2018, Bitcoin Cash was around $2500, with a value of 0.18 btc and Bitcoin Gold was around $260 with a btc value of 0.018
  

At the end of 2018, BCH forked and BCH-ABC & Bitcoin SV, both hovering around $80-60 with value around .025 to .023 btc
And Bitcoin Gold is around $11 and has a value of 0.03 btc

• ICO coins will 100X
  I bought a CAG token for 0.5 ETH each in late 2017 valued at 50cents. At the start of 2018 , it was CAG was worth 0.62 cents and would peak at $1 in Jan 14

At the end of 2018 , it is valued at almost 7 cent and is worth 0.0007 ETH
my other ERC token OMG, PAY, MCO are down more than 90%

• Altcoins will 10x at least
  From the start of 2017 Dash, LTC ,XRP Neo (Antshares then) grew roughly around more than 10X
  Neo grew from 14 cents in Jan 2017 to $70 in Dec
  LTC from $4 to almost $250
  Dash from $11 to $1000
  XRP from 0.6 cents !!! to $3.7 (One of 2017 top gainers)
  

Was it asking too much that they increase also in 2018 ?
All of these coins are 90% of thier 2017 peak

• BTC will never go below 10k 5k....
  When you spent Nov and Dec 2017 seeing BTC increase $1000 a week, you would expect that it would slow down in 2018
  Not reverse at the same speed

• Just wait 3 months for ATH
  

in 2017, BTC reached a new ATH every 3 months
BTC increased from $2k in start of June to almost $5K in Sept before going down
Then from low of $3k in mid Sept to $16k in Christmas 2017

In 2018, New lows were reach every 3months
From $13k in start of Jan 2018 to $7k in Feb
From $10K in Mid Feb to $5.8K in end of June 2018
From $8K in July to steady decline that dropped of the cliff in Nov

• Never buy in Dec
  After buying some BTC in 2018 at roughly $17K/btc and see it plunge steadilythe year after I said, I'll never buy BTC in Dec.
  Now its Dec 2018, and BTC is $3200. Should I buy now ??????

• EXPECTATION IN 2019
  
  There are some who beleive that 2018 was similar to 2014 when BTC fell from $1000 fell slowly down to around $450. If 2018 is like 2014. Then 2019 is 2015, when BTC fell to its lowest point of $191 in Jan 2015 rose from there
