Elastos is bringing a blockchain based operating system-18 Years in the making.

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

Elastos (ELA) is an operating system based off blockchain that looks to give what we are all here for: REAL ownership of digital assets. What does this mean? Let's break it down. When we think operating system, the main ones that come into mind are Android OS (developed by Google), iOS (developed by Apple), and Microsoft Windows. The way such operating systems work is it is based into a device and you can choose one or the other. You don't have the apple store on your android phone. Also you don't have iOS running on a Windows computer. There is no integrating where Apple apps can also be on Android operating systems. The same App can be developed on both iOS and Android OS, but understand they are separate operating systems more rivals than anything. The cell phone industry has turned into a oligopoly between the two. So now that we have a general understanding of what we are comparing Elastos with let's move into the next section.

How does Elastos compare with Android Operating System and iOS? https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/elastos-executive-summary-rong-chen/
Elastos is an operating system like these but the underlying technology is blockchain.

The biggest thing ELA can be integrated within other existing operating systems because of the Elastos runtime. Elastos runtime is apart of how big this project is. Something like ADA, or EOS cannot even come because of this major aspect. Put blockchain aside for a second, if there was no such thing as blockchain, Elastos was still creating this operating system to compete with Apple and Android, AND it would of still been able to be integrated within other operating systems, how would this possible without blockchain? Because blockchain technology doesn't make your phone run, but is just an underlying technology to the whole thing. There is many aspects to this project thus why it isn't just another blockchain project. Why does this even matter you ask? Well this operating system has been in the works 9 YEARS BEFORE BITCOIN WAS CREATED. But now with the opportunity of Blockchain technology, made it possible to integrate and have blockchain as the underlying technology behind Elastos. This means your android phone can run elastos and run DApps built on Elastos. Take this to the next step, Elastos can even be integrated within something like Netflix. This is big for mass adoptions because we know how everyday people are that use iPhones and don't understand much of the tech part of their phone, and also don't realize how centralized it is, the media is literally brainwashing people into thinking the internet is a place for open ideas and the World to connect freely and it growing more into that direction, meanwhile they are the ones being brainwashed into thinking that but really the World is going in the total opposite direction, getting more and more centralized, treating people as property. The more people hear and get in touch with crypto, the more we can all help educate how corrupt the World is and make this change and reality. Elastos does just this by allowing people to actually own digital assets. Say I write a book and want to sell it, but only want 100 copies to be sold. I write the book print it and sell 100 copies for $20 each. After I sold the book, I have no clue where it is, who owns it, it is being recreated, is even being read? You see the many questions that can come with this. Think if you could customize all those settings (how many books to be sold, how much, for how long, etc.) digitally and each book sold has a digital ID (just like a wallet have an address in the blockchain). You actually own that book that you sold. It can be traced to you, the seller, with all the details. Really take a second to understand what that means...

Now imagine you can do that with books, movies, artwork, articles, or ANYTHING THAT CAN DIGITALLY MONETIZED WITH OWNERSHIP. That is World revolutionary.

...It is more than just giving digital ownership rights back to the creator, but this opens the doors for a new internet to be in the making, a new World wide ecosystem. Exactly what Elastos' vision is. 18 years in the making I think they have thought a little harder of the biggest picture than we have, I can assure you on that.

Let me remind you Chen Rong Founded Elastos 18 years ago after he left Microsoft to set this idea into motion. This project just isn't another blockchain technology project, this project's core has been worked on for almost 2 decades, with the integration of blockchain technology roughly 1-2 years ago. I hope that sinks in. Elastos also already has partnerships with the biggest car manufacturer in China SIAC to integrate Elastos in all of their future smart cars. That is huge. That is just one of the major partnerships.

Side chains solve the problem of scalability because if a DAapp runs, it won't be using the Elastos Blockchain directly, but connected to the main Elastos blockchain with their own sidechain. 1_DNc0Dl8kYM-VnjIK3YHOsw.png

Elastos is in the path to be the next operating system used with every single device in the World. This is the project everyone should be (if not you will) excited for. Elastos is the biggest project of 2018. Explaining every detail of the project would not be appropriate for a steemit article as Elastos is such a big project and has so many aspects from the technical to the advertising on the NSADAQ in Times Square (Check out my profile picture)
Mass adoptions will be helped because people won't have to go out and buy a new phone to be able to use Elastos, although we will get to that point when ELA phones comes out ;) el.PNG
