Oakland Cryptocurrency Workshop Report #2
Last week we had our second workshop at the Telegraph Beer Garden in Oakland, CA. At this event, I explained the anatomy of cryptocurrency addresses, the different types of wallets, what a transaction looks like and some of the readily available options for cold storage. The turnout wasn't as large as the previous, mostly because it had to be rescheduled on such a short notice. The small handful that did show up were very excited at the fact that you didn't have to use services such as Coinbase to get your hands on some cryptocurrency. With that alone, I felt that my mission had been accomplished. After the presentation, we had a group discussion about some of the different projects that exist in the space as well as many other unrelated topics, which is usually common at these sort of events. Overall, I feel that the night was successful despite our small numbers. If you are interested in joining us for our next workshop, please visit our meetup page by clicking here.
