I think that you would do well to re-read Plato's "Cave" analogy before becoming too dogmatic about the physical having a greater claim on "Reality".

Crypto-currencies do have something backing them that has a great deal of value: an immutable ledger. And they have a real-world use for hard money advocates: The ability to sell your hard assets in one jurisdiction, transport the value to a freer jurisdiction, and then re-buy hard assets in that new jurisdiction.

It has been my experience that there is much truth in the statement: "You will see it when you believe it."
