Tron [TRX] – back at #10 position with a 51% hike over the week

Founder of Tron foundation, Justin Sun recently tweeted about Tron’s popularity yet again on Github. Tron currently holds the #1 ranking worldwide in Github commits in the last 7 days.

“#Tron is #1.”

The value of Tron continues to increase, with an 8.66% growth in the last 24 hours. It also showed phenomenal growth rates over the past week, with a 46.64% growth.

It started off the week at $0.05, steadily climbing up to $0.08, which is its highest value since January. It is the second highest weekly gainer in the top 25, only behind EOS. Currently, the cryptocurrency is at #10 in the ranking, with a market cap of $5.29 billion.

This comes after a flurry of announcements regarding Tron’s shift from being an ERC20 token to a new main net and blockchain. Tron’s mainnet is set for launch on May 31st, with total token migration set for 21st of June. Tron’s new mainnet is reported to perform 10000 transactions per second.

Tron is also gaining momentum by partnering up with various new cryptocurrency exchanges such as India’s Zebpay. Currency exchanges who previously supported Tron’s exchange are now moving forward with its main net migration, with exchange platforms Bittrex and Bit-Z Exchange adding support.

Tron also announced an airdrop last week of 30 million TRX to the Ethereum community as a show of their gratitude for Ethereum’s support during their ERC20 phase.
