The most valuable website to use is coinmarketcap.com

Coinmarketcap provides credible information on each and every coin in the market as well was what the entire crypto currency market is currently at. You can see which coins are receiving the highest volume in the last 24 hours, the price each coin is currently at, the market cap for each coin, the circulating supply for each, a graph showing the history all the way back to the beginning, and even their current websites. If you have to find some info on a coin you heard about or an update on coins you are invested in, coinmarketcap is the place to be.

The second most valuable website is coinschedule.com

Coinschedule provides information on all the upcoming ICO's (Initial Coin Offering) that are available. All the coins that are new and will be hitting the crypto market are shown on this site. This is where you can be one of the first to have an investment on a certain coin/company. BE CAREFUL with ICO's because some of them can be scams! Be sure to read the Whitepaper, check out their website, their team and their roadmap/vision. If all looks good and you trust them then this is where you can invest at the cheapest price to hopefully grab those millionaire type of gains. DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Coinbase and Gdax.com are definitely a must. These two are the easiest, quickest, and most secure way to transfer money from your bank account. They are actually connected, you sign into Gdax with your Coinbase username and password. Gdax has much lower buying and selling fees by the way so if you are looking to purchase some ethereum, bitcoin, litecoin, etc... use Gdax!.
The two most credible exchanges to purchase alt coins (coins other than the big dogs) I have come across are binance.com and kucoin.com. These exchanges are extremely user friendly and secure, I have not come across any issues with these two.
