I have to sadly agree that self education is the way to go these days. Traditional education system is in the dumps - not because the education itself is not necessary anymore but because the educators are mostly disconnected from what the real world is all about.
Better to learn yourself than pay good money to learn things that would soon be obsolete - considering the sluggish pace of the university education.
