I personally feel that ICO’s are not worth the money. If the coins start doing well and grow gradually and continuously, i believe then is the time get in on them. ICO’s cost people so much money because of ideas that have been talked about, but cannot be completed and aren’t feasible.

Yes, there is absolutely no real reason to risk any money at the "start" of an ICO. Just write them all down and do some research, as with any investment. Once a new crpyto is put on the market you can just watch the marketcap, volume and price for better odds of actually making money.
