RE: Token: A Messenger App With Money Baked In -- Bringing Financial Services to Everyone on the Planet

Thank you for your comment!

When I got interested in cryptocurrencies last year I searched for a way to buy my first cryptocurrency. At first I tried to convert some PayPal dollars into Bitcoin. That was not a good experience. After that experience, I opened a Coinbase account and have only been purchasing Bitcoin and Ethereum with USD through Coinbase.

I have found that Coinbase is the easiest and most convenient way for me to convert USD to cryptocurrency and vice-versa.

The only down side I have experience with Coinbase to date is that I could not get into Coinbase to trade when it was being swamped with orders. I hope they have expanded their computer network since then because I heard that they had a backlog of 40k new accounts several weeks ago.

Have a great weekend!

I've found their fees to be rather high and I hear that their customer service is nonexistent. I would be much more excited about Token if coinbase wasn't involved.

I agree that there fees are rather high, but it seems like every exchange is raising fees in one form or another. And yes, there are exchanges with lower fees.

As for their customer service, the one interaction with customer service I have had was in the sign-up process about a year ago. Back then they were very responsive. I realize they are being flooded right now with requests which could be a reason for slow customer service, but it is no excuse.

Thanks for you comment!
Have a great day!

I've just spent the last 30 minutes or so wrestleing with openledger trying to get the sbd I have in there out. No luck. So yeah, I expect most exchanges are troublesome.

Blocktrades spoiled me lol.

@blocktrades is great! I have used it to sell my SBD from my SteemIt interface for Ethereum. I am a true @blocktrades fan.

Selling STEEM or SBD through @blocktrades is fast and convenient. Yes, @blocktrades has spoiled me too! :)

I followed the instructions in this post to make the trade:

I am not familiar with openledger. If I was, I would definitely try to help you out.

I hope you get it figured out.

I picked up a bitpay card as outlined in this post. Seeing as how I'm going to be living off of Steem, it seemed like a good idea.

Stay tuned for my adventures in being homeless!

Thanks you too!
