Oyster Pearl (crypto) will be just as annoying as Ads
"People" have been shilling Pearl as the next big thing that could change the internet and crypto... BS.
Their vision of an internet without advertisements is ridiculous, as is Brave's Attention Token (BAT). The shills sell you this dream that "if only wikipedia added this one line of code they wouldn't need to ask for Donations", "if the Porn industry added this one line of code we could all be watching premium porn for free", if this site added this to their website this token would skyrocket to the moon.......... let's be real for a second:
- You go to a website: Wikipedia (popup; can we use your computing power: Yes, No)
- You go to another website: Coinmarketcap (popup; can we use your computing power: Yes, No)
- You go to another website: Youtube (popup; can we use your computing power: Yes, No)
And what if i have 20 tabs open, will i have to accept 20 instances of this popup?
I'm sure many of you have experienced Coinhive's Monero mining script, how is Pearl any different? Why didn't Coinhive create their own coin?? Is Pearl just a clone of Coinhive's script???
And are trying to tell me that this is the future of the internet? A popup on every website trying to mine cryptocurrency (Yes, No)
In my opinion Pearl will make your browsing experience worse. Less ads (unlikely) and more popups!
