Despite all the market FUD in crypto right now, we're continuing to see new and innovative projects enter the cryptocurrency space. Why is that?
That might be a discussion for another post, however, if we take a step back and have a look around us for a minute we'll see that there is still a huge buzz of excitement in relation to Fintech and the world of Blockchain startups.
In an earlier post I discussed CoinMarketCap.com and talked a little about its features and how they could be used to do your cryptocurrency analysis, track your cryptocurrency portfolio and use its links to take you to official websites and market places. These days pretty much every influencer in the cryptocurrency space uses it to do their analysis and comparisons.
But now we have a new player in the space CoinCheckup.com for those of you who love analytics and simply want more to wrap your head around.
My first impressions are that CoinCheckup.com is literally everything I've ever wanted to help me do my analysis and probably more; basically it's CoinMarketCap.com on steroids.
Below is a screenshot of it's sleek looking interface; as a fan of data I have a fundamental understanding that analytics isn't about the numbers, but the story those numbers tell. What I absolutely love about CoinCheckup.com is how it takes raw data and turns it into a comprehensive but simple to navigate graphic, then gives you the story in plain english underneath.
Many of the features utilised by CoinCheckup.com are features that we've already become familiar with thanks to CoinMarketCap.com and although I haven't had the opportunity to immerse myself in CoinCheckup.com just yet, I'm confident that at a first glance your thirst for numbers, information and crypto stories will be quenched.
My only critique at this stage is the amount of adds displayed on the site. Due to the sheer amount of data displayed on the site, Ads displayed can quickly make the site noise heavy and I'd recommend a reduction in Ads at the very least.
Otherwise I give CoinCheckup.com 4.5/5 Stars and am looking forward to using it to do the majority of my analysis from now on.

Re. Ads we hear you and we'll do our best to run fewer and better ads, since we have to pay for hosting, development, coin research and so on. So far we've spent more than 3000 hours on this, all paid out of pocket and given away for free, but we want to offer even more over time and our costs keep increasing.

Actually yes, I've noticed those but haven't had much time to play with them, can you shed some light? I'm particularly interested in Algo Score, that looks interesting, although it looks like some of my favourite projects aren't rated too highly haha

Basically we key in data for all coins (part manually, part automatically) in a standardized format and the algorithm scores them according to the formula linked to above. It's a good way to find uncover high quality coins you've never heard of, and helps reduce research time significantly.
