Steemit INTERVIEW: Luke Stokes Talks Anarchapulco, Cryptos, Improving the World

Today I interviewed witness and creator @lukestokes , recently back from Anarchapulco

We discussed many interesting topics, including:

  • Anarchapulco 2018
  • Anarchism
  • Areas of agreement between anarcho-capitalists, libertarians, and progressives
  • Cryptocurrency adoption
  • Generally making the world a better place

For more on Anarchapulco, check out Luke's summary post about it: https://steemit.com/anarchapulco/@lukestokes/anarchapulco-2018

Tomorrow's interview: @aggroed will join me to talk Steemit projects, blockchain transactions, and much more

My problem is that even as a minarchist conservative who strives to shrink the size of the government, it is very difficult for me to see this change occurring in any realistic way. The government is a cancer that continues to spread and grow in size, it's tentacles continue to branch out further and further into more and more aspects of our lives. The trend in the west seems to be that as time goes on, the government is expanding, as we move away from a liberty mindset, to a mindset of security. If I was an anarchist, I wouldn't see any hope in our current political landscape to ever shift towards that style of self-governance. I just see it as a lost cause... Maybe I am wrong, and crypto will help shift our future in the opposite direction.

I'm pretty stoked on Stokes.

good one

Great interview, Luke brought up some great points.. I had not even considered the positive side to whales holding a big chunk of a currency... specially at the beginning of a project, this could the key operational word here... "beginning"

Its also imperative we all understand that none of us ever want equality of outcome, and this not only for this blockchain, for any kind of crypto project, it would negate its worth, its really that simple.

Great interview, I really enjoyed it... I kind of wished it went for longer.. I did not even finish my coffee, and I made one specially for this.

it must have been a VERY BIG coffee

It looks pretty normal to me...
