Jay-Z Is The Latest Celebrity To Enter The World Of Cryptocurrency

Shawn Corey Carter, or better known as Jay-Z, the famous American rapper and a businessman has added crypto into his portfolio.

Last year, Carter announced 'Arrive Venture Capital' a subsidiary of his 'Roc Nation' to invest on startups.

One of his recent investments are private jet outfit 'Jetsmarter', luggage maker 'Away' and even a series B round with 'Uber'.

Currently, Arrive is supporting Robinhood, which has recently expanded its services to include free trades in Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Robinhood already has 3 million users and inching a total value nearing $1.5 billion and with its announcement, it has set off a firestorm of publicity.

The Winklevoss Twins Stays Bullish About Bitcoin Believing It Could Hit A $4 Trillion Capitalization

During a CNBC-sponsored forum at the Milken Institute's MENA Summit on February 07, 2018, the twins still believe that Bitcoin will be better than gold.

"Taking bitcoin in isolation … we believe bitcoin disrupts gold. We think it's a better gold if you look at the properties of money. And what makes gold gold? Scarcity. Bitcoin is actually fixed in supply so it's better than scarce … it's more portable, its fungible, it's more durable. Its sort of equals a better gold across the board," the twins told CNBC.

Cameron Winklevoss also stressed that Bitcoin price could reach 40 times than today.

With the market cap at $100 billion last week, the twins believe that it is a buying opportunity and there is a potential appreciation of 30 to 40 times in the next 10 to 20 years.
