The general public will probably not ever be well-versed in security, or even care to be. They'd rather pay for a service to handle that for them, even though the user themself is the greatest liability and easiest to exploit. WIll crypto transactions ever take place over a private protocol and network some day, like how credit card transactions are processed now?
