PROBLEMS OF MODERN E-MAIL SYSTEMS

The modern standard of e-mail communication is hopelessly out of date. It is based on the minimum set of necessary functions and tools required for delivering a text message from one person to another with files attached to the text of the message. There is no guarantee that the content of your messages won’t be distorted or replaced before reaching the recipient. The maximum size of the message with attached files is on average limited to 20–25 Mb, and remarkably, this limitation has existed for 30 years.Recently most of the popular e-mail ser - vices introduced SSL as the only tool for protecting information at the transport level. But no effort has been, and most likely will ever be, taken to protect data on the servers where it is stored because private user information has become a source of revenue for all free e-mail systems that bring them billions. The only solution is using third-party libraries and components that would serve as an intermediary layer, encrypt messages on the sender’s computer and decrypt it on the recipient’s computer. But these tools are not widespread because they require installing additional software, as well as sufficient knowledge of cryptographic protection and experience with setting up appropriate software.
Currently, email providers store data on mail servers unencrypted , so any person or software can view and analyze their contents. Corporations gain huge profits by looking into our private lives and ana- lyzing our mail to show us better-target - ed ads. Fraudulent employees or state security services can use your private data to their advantage.
SOLUTION

The next generation e-mail system that we are creating meets the following requirements:

It is compatible with existing mail protocols (resolved);
