Interesting. I don't know how a guy like that wouldn't be having a nervous breakdown every minute thinking it was going to get caught any second.
Not only that but how much money do you really need. Wouldn't you just walk away and go legit after the first 10 million. I'm kind of fascinated with that story so had been reading a lot of Reddit threads about it and most people into computer science and security and all that jazz seem to say it was really foolish to keep the same site running for so long. People also seem to say TOR is compromised as nobody in his position could have made all the mistakes he supposedly made, basically the government had some other way of catching him and is trying to create a story to backup that fake narrative
Yeah it is intriguing to me as well. I haven't looked into it a lot but I get what you are saying with just taking the 10 Million and then calling it quits but I feel like the more they get the numbers get bigger and bigger in their heads to buy what they feel like they need. He might have watched the Wolf of Wall Street every other night and then decided he wanted a private yacht.
I wouldn't be surprised if the government got information illegally and created a story to back it up like they are saying on Reddit. It is hard telling but I'm really blown away the US Government is chasing these guys down in other countries.
