New Worm uses that uses the same exploit as WannaCrypt (EternalBlue - a Windows exploit believed to be developed by the NSA) is infecting computers worldwide. The infection is believed to be even larger than that of WannaCrypt (aka. Wannacry), but isn't receiving mainstream media coverage because of one important factor - Stealth. Instead of holding the user's files random, the new worm secretly mines the cryptocurrency monero by downloading the mining program Adylkuzz. The net effect is that it slows down the victim's computer, but still allows it to be usable.

Selfishly Blocks other worms

The worm also has another major feature - it closes the windows exploit and makes the victim machine immune the exploit! So in effect, if the victim is infected by wannamine, then it is immune to Wannacrypt and other variants!
