WANDNEO Token airdrop registration starts today. Between 24th July 2018 and 10th Aug 2018, you can register on www.wandx.co/airdrop.html to secure your share of the new WANDNEO tokens.

While the interest in the token, as well as the airdrop, is steaming, we’ve received a number of questions on our Telegram group regarding the token distribution itself.

This blog post will highlight the details about the Token’s utility, the nature of the airdrop, and how new particpants, as well as existing holders of WAND Token, can claim WANDNEO tokens.

Utility of the WANDNEO Token

The WANDNEO Token is a staking token that can be used in the upcoming WandX Desktop [wallet] app. Users can stake the WANDNEO Token, which makes them a member of the WandX community. By staking, users receive a proportion of the NEOGAS that the DEX receives when users trade on it.

Staking can be done on our staking contract, the details of which will be shared on the WandX Desktop app itself.

WANDNEO Airdrop: The Steps

To participate in the airdrop, both new joiners, as well as exsting holders of WAND tokens, must

• Join the WandX Telegram group
• Follow WandX on Twitter
• Fill out the form on this page*

*Existing WAND Token holders MUST mention the ETH address where they hold WAND Token(s) in the form. If you hold WAND under more than one ETH address, fill out separate forms for each, with the same email and telegram details.

New joiners need not share ETH address when filling the form (this, assuming that you do not hold any WAND).

All registrants - new and existing WandX members - once they download the Desktop App will be allowed to set up a wallet account on the app and they can then share their NEO address along with the app verification code to the team (more on this soon) to receive WANDNEO Tokens.

WANDNEO Token distribution

• WANDNEO Distribution date: WANDNEO Tokens will be distributed August 20, 2018 onwards to all airdrop registrants. Distribution will continue till Sep 5, 2018.
• For new users: 300 WANDNEO tokens will be airdropped to each new joiner once they complete all the airdrop steps* and install the WandX Desktop App 20 Aug 2018 onward. *verification will be carried out
• For existing holders of WAND Token: WANDNEO Tokens will be distributed in a 1:1 ratio to all those who hold WAND Token if they complete all the airdrop steps and install the WandX Desktop App 20 Aug 2018 onward.

For every WAND, existing holder gets an equivalent number of WANDNEO. 1 WAND = 1 WANDNEO

The New WandX platform

The new WandX Desktop App is an “App for DEXs” that will holds the WandX DEX on Ethereum, the WandX DEX on NEO, and the WandX Basket protocol on Ethereum as well as NEO.

What’s noteworthy about this platform is that it will house DEXs on different blockchain all under one. A comprehensive wallet ecosystem will support each of these DEXs. A multi-purpose dashboard to traverse these DEXs and the wallet ecosystem is under development as well. After Aug 20, 2018, users will be able to download the WandX Desktop App and trade on DEXs across multiple blockchains in a single place rather than hold multiple wallets or multiple accounts. Web and mobile wallet are in the offing.
